Peppershock welcomes two new interns!
Peppershock is dedicated to educating our future industry experts. The appeal to intern at Peppershock was so strong, we decided to take on two interns this summer!
Allison Roberts
Allison currently studies Mass Communications at Boise State University and will graduate in May 2009. During her internship Allison will act as a production assistant, taking part in concept development as well as editing and capturing footage.
John Brassey
John attends the University of Montana and will graduate in the Spring of 2009 with an English major and minors in Music and History. He plans to utilize his writing skills in order to help prepare the monthly newsletter, assist with script writing, and participate in the overall creative process at Peppershock.

Rhea Allen, Peppershock Media CEO, recently participated in "Project: Red Carpet Runway," a local fashion show supporting Advocates Against Family Violence (AAFV). All proceeds from the event went to AAFV, a local non-profit organization that works to eliminate violence in families and homes.
We would also like to recognize Danae and Studio D, for all they contributed to this special project.

Mayor Bieter Unplugged

Drew and Rhea both attended the most recent Boise Young Professionals meeting, “Mayor Bieter Unplugged,” at the Basque Center. Boise Mayor Dave Bieter spoke and answered questions from participants regarding the past, present, and future of the Boise area and how young professionals can contribute to the community.
Congrats to the Rotary Club of Nampa
The Nampa Chamber announced the winner of the Nampa's Got Talent Civic Club Video Competition. Keep in mind the clubs only had one hour each in Peppershock's studio to create their masterpieces. By the people's choice the Rotary Club of Nampa took the grand prize of a $1000 donation, contributed by Colliers International.

You may have had this problem with a shot from your digital camera. The sky is over-exposed while the foreground is exposed correctly. The shadow detail is almost non-existent and the clouds have become a white blob. When a graduated neutral density (GND) filter won't solve the exposure problems, try HDR. 
High Dynamic Range is a relatively new technique that utilizes more of the tonal range and detail. Here's the catch: You must have at least 3 images, all of the same scene, 3 exposures from under to over, little to no movement of the subject matter...and a program to process the exif data from your digital photos and camera.
