:: Marketing Gem of the Month ::

GEM 2.0

webtwopointohInteractive media & Web 2.0 are the new buzzwords. It seems every marketing report points to their growing usage, the fact is they do represent the largest shift in the allocation of B2B marketing expenditures.  However, companies are often afraid of new technology, fearing high adoption, training, and support costs.

Here is one reality for you to consider, interactive media and Web 2.0 represent one of the most measurable mediums ever used by marketers.  In addition to web metrics you can segment audiences, pinpoint influencers and better understand how you are influencing those companies and individuals you are targeting.

If you are asking what is Web 2.0 think Vidcasts/Podcasts, Search engine optimization, Web banners, e-mail newsletters, and interactive media. Most of these should be familiar to you but some very popular examples of interactive media are the Weather Channel, Mapquest, YouTube and Google Earth.

We think the question you should be asking is how can you make Web 2.0 work for you?
