About Kate

Kate Rylaarsdam is a senior at Northwest Nazarene University majoring in Graphic Design. When she was in high school taking college classes through Running Start, she was trying out art and music classes and was still unsure what she would choose as her major in college. Her mother suggested she take an introductory graphic design course, and Kate reluctantly signed up for the course. Little did she realize that this was something she enjoyed so much, and the rest is history!

She has always had an interest in traveling and exploring new places. In December, she was able to travel to Chile and explore the mountains and see the ocean while enjoying the mild summer weather. One of the most amazing places she got to visit was Puerto Varas, where the vast Lake Llanquihue is located as well as the volcanoes Osorno and Calbuco.
